Workers Rights Education
Educating retail workers
about their rights is an important part of RAP's work. Workers
have more power when they know their legal rights and how
to exercise them. RAP staff, volunteers and members educate
retail workers about their rights individually and in regular
workshops. Past workshops include: “Know Your
Rights!,” “Getting and Keeping Unemployment Insurance,”
and “Job Rights of Immigrant Workers."
Legal Services
RAP works with non-profit
legal services to assist retail workers exercise their legal
rights on the job. RAP members have received assistance with
wage and hour violations, discrimination and health and safety
violations.
