Immigrant Worker Rights

More than half of workers in the NYC retail industry are immigrants.1 RAP members and member organizations represent the vast diversity of immigrant communities in NYC. We are working hard to build power for immigrant workers in retail to learn and exercise their rights.

    Are you an immigrant?

Documented or undocumented, you still have legal rights at work!

  • Right to be paid
  • Right to organize
  • Right to be free from discrimination
  • Right to be safe on the job
  • Right to remain silent: After your employer hires you, you do not have to answer questions about your immigration status.
Contact RAP for more information about your rights as an immigrant worker!
