All Lower East Side residents are eligible to join GOLES, especially those living in rent-controlled, rent-stabilized, Section 8, public, or other subsidized housing.

GOLES members are part of an extended family of neighborhood stewards, community leaders, and people who care about the Lower East Side. Membership dues are $10 dollars a year, and $5 for youth and seniors. GOLES members are important in determining the direction of our work. Members can join any of the Steering Committees for major campaigns and projects such as Public Housing, Land Use, Environmental Justice and more, as well as vote in the General Meetings.

GOLES welcomes volunteers from young people to seniors, and everyone in between! Volunteers are involved in all aspects of GOLES' work from public outreach and preparing for actions to administrative tasks.
